Exactly four months ago, on Drehscheibe Online, the Pottendorf project based on Oberfranken finally ended with the sale of the last pieces of rolling stock, buildings and small details. However a few tatty vehicles and the unfinished ‘repairs’ on the workbench were unsold, the following is how they were repurposed.
This version of Pottendorf is supposed to be a privatbahn in Niedersachsen on which the DB runs the meagre freight workings and the passenger working is a pre-war railbus. Much of the layout is based on tiny corner of the Osthannoversche Eisenbahn of the ‘50/60s which was interesting. Coincidentally, it is located on the western side of the Elbe, almost opposite Boizenburg.
The real location is the spur to the former Alt Garge Kraftwerk (power station) that was closed in ‘73/74 but this reality is ignored and instead there is a small terminus.
